FoodFarm has expanded its product range to include a new hemp protein powder. This powder, which contains 50% protein, addresses the increasing demand for high-quality and versatile plant-based protein sources. In terms of price it’s positioned between the 65% hemp protein concentrate and the 32% hemp flour.
According to Satu Pura, the Business Director of FoodFarm, the new product’s strengths are its relatively neutral taste and light color.
“The taste of new hemp proteins has made significant advancements. The flavor and color of the new powder allow for even more diverse applications in various food products,” Pura explains. This new product is an excellent addition to – for example – beverages, other protein products, or as a topping for breakfast yogurt.
Hemp protein is renowned for its exceptional nutritional value. It contains all 20 amino acids, including the 8 essential ones that the human body cannot produce. The amino acid profile of hemp closely resembles that of egg whites and soybeans. Additionally, FoodFarm’s hemp protein products offer omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in an ideal ratio that supports overall health. In the new powder, both omega fatty acids and protein are presented in a form that is easily absorbed by the body.

From the perspective of a sustainability-conscious consumer, the new product outperforms many protein supplements. Hemp cultivation requires no pesticides, even in conventional farming practices. Additionally, hemp serves as an excellent carbon sink; it grows rapidly and captures atmospheric carbon dioxide in the soil during its growth.
“Hemp protein powder is not only a healthy option but also an environmentally friendly choice. It is ideal for professionals who wish to take practical steps toward sustainable development,” Pura emphasizes.
