Murtola Hemp Farm’s Chocolate Brownies

Our partner, Murtola Hemp Farm (Murtolan HamppuFarmi), offers a delicious gluten-free chocolate brownie recipe that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth for several days and delight plenty of guests.

Ingredients:

  • 120 g of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 g of coconut sugar, plus 3 tablespoons for coating the pan.
  • 1 dl of gluten-free flour mix
  • 1 dl of cocoa powder
  • 1 dl of shelled hemp seeds, plus 3 tablespoons for coating the pan.
  • 150 g of dark chocolate
  • 2 cl of brandy (can be substituted with fresh orange juice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Preparation:

  1. Chop the chocolate into rough pieces. Melt the butter in the microwave and let it cool slightly.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: cocoa powder, gluten-free flour blend, and baking powder. Sift to remove lumps.
  3. Grease a baking dish and coat it with shelled hemp seeds and coconut sugar.

Instructions:

  1. Crack the eggs into a bowl, add sugar, and whisk gently (avoiding excessive foaming).
  2. Gradually mix in the melted butter, followed by the brandy or its substitute, and then add the dry ingredient mixture. Finally, stir in the hemp seeds and chocolate pieces.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Allow the brownies to cool slightly before serving. Once cooled, they can be easily cut into squares, or served warm directly from the dish.
