In July, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted FoodFarm the right to trade in the United States. As the food regulatory authority of the United States, the FDA issues the necessary certificates for food and medicinal trade and oversees the quality of food products sold there.
The FDA registration allows FoodFarm to open new export markets to the U.S.
“There is high demand for hemp products, including hemp protein, in the United States. I am confident that our ecologically responsible Nordic products will gain a good foothold there,” says FoodFarm’s Business Director, Satu Pura, with excitement.
To obtain permission to trade in the United States, a food industry company must register through a multi-step process and meet the requirements set by U.S. legislation. FoodFarm’s precise quality control process, however, ensured that the legislative requirements were met before the registration process began.
